TICKET
SELECTION
Booking and issuing of
tickets - The ticket
office operator can carry
out the search of a route
in various ways, either
by manually entering the
departure or arrival location,
or by selecting amongst
the most used runs configured
in the dedicated area.
Once the journey has been
booked the program permits
to automatically print the
ticket, however you can
also manually enter the
information.
In case of booking by
phone the ticket will
be issued only when the
journey has been confirmed
by the passenger within
the time limit set by
the carrier, the reserved
seat will be released.
Another type of phone
booking, is the one where
the ticket is confirmed
on the bus.
Obviously the bookings
can be made for a one
way ticket, a return
ticket or an open ticket.
Busweb also permits to
make a booking for a
journey that includes
a connection between
buses hence avoiding
that the ticket office
operator has to carry
out two transactions.
The program provides
automatically the best
option for the route
selected and at the time
of booking will also
reserve a seat on the
connecting route.
Busweb automatically
proposes the standard
fare, with the option
to select reduced of
special fares, discount
passes, promotional fares
and low cost fares.
The seating allocation
is optional, seats can
be allocated using the
bus seating map. The
availability of a seat
will be shown with different
colors depending on the
status (free, occupied,
reserved or selected).
Busweb allows the ticket
office operators to cancel
the incorrect booking
in order to avoid that
wrong data are produced
on the passenger list.
This operation can be
carried out only within
an hour from the time
the booking has been
made; if the ticket is
not cancelled within
that time, the agency
needs to contact the
administrator who will
cancel the transaction.
Regardign changes (only
of departure dates) and
refunds, the software
can be configured with
rules and parameters
dictated by the bus carrier.
The same rule applies
to grant permission to
the ticket office to
carry out the above operation.
Just like the bus carrier,
the ticket office can
also see the full passenger
list or partial passenger
list (which is the list
of passengers that have
booked through the agency),
and the cash register
from which the qualified
operator can constantly
check the daily takings,
create a commission statement
and issue the invoice
for the work carried
out.
