ANTI FORGERY
A system based on encryption
algorithm which generates a univocal
barcode
Everytime a retail outlet issues
a ticket, the central server authorizes
the transaction by assigning a
univocal code to it, which is
associated to the sold ticket.
The univocal number on each ticket
is cross-checked with the ticket
price which generates, based on
an encrypton algorithm which has
been worked out especially for
this purpose, a barcode which
is printed on the front of the
ticket, making any attempt to
forgery practically impossible.
At the moment of checking the
ticket, the operator uses a small
laser tool (that looks like a
mobile phone), equipped with a
decoding software; the barcode
is scanned by this tool and the
barcode information (ticket number
and price) is displayed on the
monitor. This way the operator
can check that the data printed
on the ticket match with the displayed
information, and obtain a certain
proof of authenticity.
