Analysis of sales data through the
periodic processing of data warehouses
The sales data are periodically reprocessed
through the elaboration of a data
warehouse which enables the company
to display lists, tables and graphs
in which the data which result from
the sales of pre-paid and stamped
tickets, retail on-line retail sales
and on board sales using a mobile
phone and printing tools.
In particular, the sales analysis
facilities provided by Busweb TpL
regarding internet sales and direct
sales on board by the drivers, allow
to calculate accurate sales data
for each single bus route. Each sales
transaction contains the following
information:
- the transaction code (univocal
code)
- route
- total amount
- memership card number (if
applicable)
- ticket retail outlet (or
bus driver number were applicable)
- issue status (in case
the ticket is cancelled, the status
becomes 'A' and the ticket price
is automatically excluded from the
final total returns)
